Rukia looked immensely pleased when Chii said she liked it. "Isn't he cute?" she cooed. "You can keep that one. It's a gift. From Rukia to Chii." Not much of a gift, considering it would just replace itself later, but wasn't it the thought that really counted?

When Chii asked what the real ones looked like, Rukia was already rummaging through picture books. She proudly held up a picture book of farm animals and flipped to a page with a big-eyed brown bunny, holding it open for Chii to look at.

"The real ones look like that. Well, mostly. They're not all brown. They come in all different colors. They're very soft."
