He wants to point out to John that the fact that they are most likely from different universes makes it even more surprising, especially since it seems quite likely that John and Daniel themselves are from different realities. What are the odds of three different realities having that complex of a common tie. Maybe Macavity is actually from either Daniel or John's reality... just because he doesn't know about the Stargate Program doesn't mean he can't be from Daniel's. And then if the T.S. Elliot from John's reality somehow found a quantum mirror or some other kind of device that allows crossing into different planes...
