"Eeeeeyaaaaaahhhh!"

A teenage girl comes falling right out of the sky, careening toward the ground -- until she begins to fall more and more slowly and, ultimately, seems to float gently toward the ground. The girl lands in a lying down position but quickly pushes herself up and looks around, blinking.

The well had never taken here here before.

"Wh...where am I?"

Mickey coughs theatrically. "'What is your name?'"

The girl rubs her eyes, looking shocked. "Kagome! But -- you still didn't tell me where I am! This doesn't look like feudal Japan." She goes quiet for a splitsecond.

"Wait, are you...?"

"What is your quest?" asks the Cat. It's perched, suddenly, on the roof of one of the gate-stiles.

Startled, the girl turns to face the cat, mouth slightly agape. She is silent for a few seconds, then says, "M-My quest? My quest is to find all the pieces of the Shikon no Tama -- "

She pauses, apparently mid-sentence. What if this is some kind of trap?

"'What is the average w..?'" Mickey frowns down at the notebook. "You know, I don't really see why that's important." He flips a page. "'If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?'"

"Well, I don't know about my other wishes, but I guess my first wish would be to not be here!" Kagome looks at Mickey imploringly.

"What's going on here? I kind of have stuff I have to do elsewhere, so if you don't mind -- "

"Or," the Cat says, examining its tail with interest, "if you were a genie and someone you were trying to give three wishes to was trying to trick you into giving him more, what would you say?"

That's kind of a new twist. It catches Kagome's attention, momentarily distracting her from her rant. "Well..." she says. "I guess I'd just tell him to be careful. Genies can be tricky. You don't want to get on their bad side."

Mickey looks rather nonplussed at the next, but reads, "'When the revolution comes, what skills will you be able to barter for food?'"

Kagome looks nonplussed as well. "What?" she says, slightly incredulous. Well, she's incredulous of the whole situation, really. Still, she makes a valiant attempt at answering the question. "I guess, uh, I can fire a bow, and I'm a good runner, and I'm good with kids, and I can speak English and Japanese! Are any of those ... barter-able?"

The Cat rolls its eyes in a friendly (and rather disconcertingly out-of-sync) way, and asks, "Milk, dark, or white chocolate?"

"Oh, dark please!" Kagome waits expectantly, as though she thinks she will be handed some.

"'Choose the two coolest: robots, pirates, fairies, bears, ninjas, monkeys, vampires, or humans,'" says Mickey, giggling a bit as he goes through the list. "'Explain.'"

"Ninjas are cool because they're sneaky and really athletic and can do a lot of things," Kagome reasoned. "And regular humans are cool because they never give up trying no matter what, and they always want to do the right thing, and sometimes people underestimate them.

Now do you mind telling me why you're asking me all these things?! And why I'm here in the first place?!" A beat. "...Is this...?"

"Great!" Mickey flips through the blank pages of the notebook at top, cartoon-y speed. "Well, I think that's just about it! Oh, and I'm supposed to ask, 'for your safety: are you carrying anything sharp?'"

" ... Do you mean, do I need to carry anything sharp for my safety, like to protect myself, or do you mean, you need to know if I'm carrying anything sharp for my safety so you can take it away so I don't hurt myself with it?"

Her bow and arrow is plainly showing.

((ooc: I wasn't going to do this, but I missed playing her, so here she is! Bear with me, it's been a while she I've played her anywhere and I'm a little rusty. Kagome is taken from the anime, somewhere towards the middle of the series. The anime being full of the episodic filler that it is, I figure we don't need to be more specific than that.))

Toki liked meeting new people. He liked meeting new people even more recently because he couldn't drink and pass out in a fountain somewhere. He could ride all of the rides here in the park and eat lots and lots of candy though, and so when Toki went to greet the new person at the gate he was a little....hyped up on the S.

The S meaning sugar.

"Hi. Hi. Oooh, you gots a bow and arrows! Can you fires them likes...that William Tells guy? If I puts an apple on my head could you shoots it off and not hits my eye and blinds me? Woah, that'd be a good song, arrow through the eye...." Toki seemed to drift off for a minute, then he snapped out of it and waved at the girl. "My name is Toki. Hallo!"

Toki was disappointed to hear that the girl wouldn't shoot an arrow. He wanted to see something brutal, even if it was an arrow in his own face. That'd be totally metal. "What's the point of having thems if you ain'ts gonna use dems?" He let out a long sigh, "dildos."

"What's going on? Well, as far as Toki knows, Mickey Mouse is holdings all of us captives in the park here. Once you go past the gates, you ain't never coming out!" He looked from side-to-side, then said conspiratorially, "You a prisoner now."

"Who said anythings about using thems as toys!" Toki looked indignant, but only because Kagome wouldn't let him play with a potentially dangerous weapon. He didn't see the point.

"Toki thinks it's Mickey that what keeps us here in the park," he said conspiratorially, even leaning his head in some towards her. "Pfft. You're not the only one who has problems. I need to go home too, I've got a shows to play!"

While he had been mostly cheerful and tolerable the past few months, and even nearly patient, the name -- Japanese -- and her mention of Japan left Setsuna stricken suddenly with a devastating homesickness he hadn't thought possible. For a moment, it was hard to even focus on anything else Kagome said, as all he could think was Tokyo. It really had been too long, to the point Japan felt like a whole other life time ago, belonging to some alien planet. He really needed to get out.

After standing there, silent for a long while, Setsuna finally spoke up. "You're in Disneyland' and as that other guy told you, you're stuck here. We are looking for a way out, though." Then he had to speak up on the sharp objects commentary. "And keep you bow. Never know when you're gonna need something like that."

[ooc: Is it alright to go with he casually watched Inuyasha and therefore knows her, etc? Technically, I had already been doing, but making sure it's okay around her.]

Now that his initial depression had softened, Setsuna realized he sort of knew the girl, from an anime he watched off and on because it had sword fighting. Only now did he see an eerie similarity between his life and Kagome's, and perhaps there was more to him watching it after all. Considering that, how much she needed to do and her own confusion, he almost felt bad for what the answers he gave her.

"We don't know how or why, yet. Those are questions we've all been asking. There really isn't anyone to ask, other than Mickey." A beat, then, "And yeah, I'm stuck here too."

The dangerous question managed to get a smile from him -- Setsuna hoped it was reassuring -- "No. It's pretty safe here. But we've had a couple of assholes come through here. Better to be prepared. How good are you with it, anyway?"

Duck's eyes are round with wonderment. "A bow? Wow, I've never seen a real one before! Everyone I know seems to use swords instead. Can you use it? Will you show me?"
